Dance America

We went to Kaylie's dance competition Saturday. It was the Dance America Nationals Stage Competition and it was in Draper. She did so good :) I was so proud of her. I don't know if it is the age but she doesn't get nervous at all and there was a ton of people there. It was a long evening though. We got there at 3:30. Her first dance was at 4:45. So we left after that and went to Astro Burger for dinner and went back to the competition. Her second dance wasn't until 9:00 and the awards were at 10:00. So we didn't get home until close to 11:00. Kaylie and Kaitlyn fell right to sleep in the car. The Happy Working Song got 3rd place and OK Coral got second. She has another one next Saturday hopefully the dances will be a little closer together :) Here is my video of it. It isn't the best I wasn't planning on recording it because they are giving us a dvd, but I was thinking Nana and Papa might like to see it :)




Kaylie has learned so much this year. She loves to dance and can't get enough of it. She would go everyday if I would let her.

Science Fair

Cade has a science fair tomorrow in his 2nd grade class. He chose to make a volcano. He enjoyed making the volcano erupt. We went through a lot of vinegar. I had to run to the store late tonight to get more so he would have some for the fair. He is excited to show his class what it will do.

Kaylies Team Pics

So Kaylie got her team pics back today at dance. I thought they turned out way cute so I thought that I would share them. She has her next competition on Saturday. It is the Dance America Nationals Competition. She is excited for it. We should have a lot of fun.

Indoor Soccer

So Chris is playing indoor soccer for the first time this year. He is enjoying it a lot. It is improving his foot skills and is giving him a chance to play goalie. The team is doing really well and his last game is this week. It seems like it went by way fast. Good job Chris! We are proud of all you do.

Silly Girl

This is a video of Kaitlyn from a couple of weeks ago. I don't really know what she was doing but it was pretty funny. She did this forever. She had been doing it for awhile before I started to record her and she kept going for awhile after. I think she must of just had a lot of extra engery that night. She was spinning a lot more before I got the camera out. She gets pretty interested in the camera when she sees it. Not to mention the way cute outfit her sister picked out for her. Aren't the tight brown pants cute!

Crazy Weather

So I have written about our time at Disneyland but not about the trip there. The wind was crazy. It blew from Payson all the way to California. I knew we had a long drive ahead since we were driving straight to California but it took us 14 hours to get there. We got home in 10 1/2 hours. We got caught in stop and go traffic from Vegas until we were about 30 miles fom our hotel. It was the longest drive not to mention the longest day.

We stopped right before Vegas to get gas and while we were getting it the Jack in the Box sign across the street came crashing down. It was one of the tall signs they put up so you can see it from the freeway. It landed right next to someone in the drive thru. I couldn't imagine being that person. It was so loud when it hit not to mention sitting there next to it what they must have been thinking.

We drove through a lot of dust and tumbleweeds.

I would have to say for as long as we were in the car that day our kids did really well. Kaitlyn got a little bored here and there. Luckily the next day at Disneyland the weather was perfect. The weather was great while we were there. It was in the 70's and 80's. We were lucky after talking to people at home talking about all the snow. I was really hoping it was all going to leave before we got home but no luck there.

The drive home went a lot better. Of course the wind warnings went out again that day but it was nothing like the day we went.
