Second Grade Program

Last week Cade had a second grade program. They did singing, dancing, poems, etc. It was a really cute program. There were alot of people there. They said to arrive 15 minutes early to get a seat and parking space and we arrived 35 minutes early and there were only a couple rows of seats left, so they had to set up more. Cade was chosen to recite one of the poems that he had written and he did a great job. He spoke clearly and loud enough that everyone could hear. Cade was really excited for this program and for his family to see it. He kept asking me if I was going to go. He got a little worried that Kaylies preschool graduation was before his program. He was worried we wouldn't make it in time.
We made it and it was great!!!!!! Good job Cade!

Kaylies Preschool Graduation

So I am pretty behind on blogging which means I really need to get caught up. There has been a lot going on with the end of the school year stuff. So I am going to see if I can get some of it caught up in the next few days.

One of the things we have done was went to Kaylie's Preschool Graduation. It was so cute! The kids each had a part that they had to memorize and recite and they sang alot of cute songs. The teacher had diplomas for them and played the graduation theme as they were shaking their teachers hand and getting their diplomas. They all thought that was great and had huge smiles on their faces. This year has been a great year for Kaylie. She has learned so much and had a blast while doing it. She was actually upset that school was over and of course the boys think she is nuts. Going to preschool for Kaylie is like dance she could go everyday and never get tired of it.

Kaylie has already started talking about starting kindergarten. We went to field day and she was talking about that she gets to go to Snow Springs now and she is looking forward to when she can do field day.

Sprinkler Fun....

So the last few days have been really nice, warm days. On Wednesday Kaylie asked if they could play in the sprinkler and I thought why not. I got the girls in their swimsuits and added a little more sunscreen and they were at it. They had a blast! I thought that Kaitlyn might be afraid of the cold water but nope not at all. She was right there beside Kaylie. They were running around and laughing!!!
The boys came home from school watched them for a minute and decided they would join.
I stayed outside with them and I think I had about as much fun as they did and I didn't get into the sprinkler! I can't wait for more days like this.
I love SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Crazy Weekend

So with the kids getting older it seems like we have less and less time. I don't know what I was thinking when I thought it got easier when they got older. You just change the kind of busy that you are. This past weekend is an example of how all of our weekends go (ok it's not just the weekend). Kaylie had a dance competition at Skyline High School at the same time as Cade's soccer game (which I am suppose to coach). So Chad being the sweet husband that he is and a great brother in law (Colby) they coached the game for me! Thank you both!!!!! Then I had a soccer game in Saratoga Springs at 4:30 which I told the team I would make it to not knowing the competition was going to run behind. I got to my house at 4:10 and again my great husband had the other kids ready to go and things in order so when I got home so I just had to change and grab my shoes. I was only a couple minutes late. By this time I am starving I haven't eaten yet! That came later that night! Now this probably sounds like I am complaining but in the end I love every minute of it. I love watching the kids in their actitivies! I love watching them enjoying themselves and learning new stuff. So it may get a little crazy but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

New Belt

Cade has been doing Tae Kwon Do for about 10 months now and he loves it. He has it for an hour on Tuesday and Thurday nights. What is so great about it is that I never have to force him to go. He is always ready to go no matter what he is doing. He just got his third belt a couple of weeks ago. He started with his white belt, then to a blue belt with a white stripe and now he is an orange belt with a white stripe. Congrats on the new belt Cade. Keep up the good work! Cade is also doing soccer right now. It is his first time playing and it is going really well. I am his coach which has been a lot of fun. He practices on Wednesday nights and plays his games on Saturday. He also goes to scouts on Tuesdays. Cade has a pretty full schedule right now, but he does really well with it.

Hope of America

Chris was in the Hope of America program this week. For anyone who doesn't know what that is it is a program that is put on by 5th graders from around the state. The fifth graders sing and they have other performances that take place between the songs. It is an hour program that is at the Marriott Center. I thought it went really well and the kids did a great job. By Chris taking part in this he has earned his Distinguished Dragon award from Snow Springs. They give the students a list of things they have to accomplish and are required to fill 10 out of 15.

Good job Chris!!!

Weekend....

On Friday our ward had a primary talent show. Chris put together a poster of some of his drawings to display unfortunately he was sick and was unable to go. I took his poster for him. Kaylie decided to do one of her dances from her dance group. She did the Happy Working Song and did great. I was nervous that she might get up on stage and freeze because she was dancing alone but she did fine. I was very proud of her. I guess it was good practice for her competition that she had on Saturday.

Saturday was going to be a over scheduled day with Cade's soccer game I was suppose to coach at 10:00, Kaylies competition I had to be at 8:30, and my soccer game at 4:30. So Colby was going to coach my game for me but it was rained out and there was no way I was going to make it home for my game. Her competition was in Roy and she had to be there at 8:30, which meant for a really early morning. We had to get up early get her dressed, make up on, hair done, breakfast and out of the house by 7:30. Not an easy task I might add especially waking up a my baby and getting her ready. It rained like crazy all the way there but we made it on time. It was a great competition. Her group danced the best that I have seen them dance yet and they took 1st place with both dances. It was a long day but a fun one. We didn't get home until 8:30 that night and Kaylie had fallen fast asleep by the time we hit Lagoon. Nana and Papa here is the video of her OK Corral dance.
