Colby is Home!!!

We all woke up today filled with excitement that today was the day. We finished up a few things before getting ready for the airport. When I went to pick up the boys at school they must of ran to the office because they were there before I could finish checking them out. We picked Kaylie up and off to the airport we went. When we arrived at the airport we found out that his plane was going to be 20 minutes early (which still seemed like forever). You could see the excitement in everyone when they saw Colby coming.
We all went to eat lunch at Chilis and then he went home to be released. Later that evening we all came to our house and had dinner and began to get caught up. The kids wanted to show him everything that he had missed here the last two years. They had him playing the WII, watching movies, seeing their rooms, inviting him to basketball games and Tae Kwon Do. Kaylie pretty much wouldn't let him go today. She stayed right by his side (if not in his arms).

Today was a really nice day. Welcome Home Colby!!!!!!

One More Day!!!!!!!!!!!

Colby will be home in one more day!!! I still can't believe it. I know some say that it goes by fast, but I am going to have to disagree. It seemed like FOREVER!! Our family is so excited. The kids have had the countdown going for a while and Kaylie has even got one of her calendars from school and knows what day he will be here (she updates me daily on the how many days until he will be home). The boys have a list of things they want to do with him that could possibly fill the next two years. I hope he is ready for this :)

Lost Tooth

Kaylie lost her first tooth last Thursday. She was so excited! It had been loose for a little while and she was very patient with it. She lost it when she woke up that morning. She came to me and said I have some good news and I have some bad news. She said the good news is I lost my tooth. The bad news is that I can't find it. I was worried maybe she swallowed it, but she told me that she didn't it feel on the floor. Luckily I went to her room and I found it right away. She put it right under her pillow for the tooth fairy!

Dr Seuss

So the 5th grade classes did a wax museum at the school. Each student had to pick a hero from a list to do a report on and to dress up as at the wax museum. Chris chose to do his report on Dr Seuss. They did it all day for the school last Thursday and then that night they did it for the parents. They each had a push button that you would push and the student would have a fact or quote about the hero of there choice. They had to sit still and repeat the same thing over and over and over for an hour. They all seemed to handle it really well. Chris did a great job!

My Little Clowns

So Kaylie got a rudolph nose for her preschool Christmas program and she found it on Super Bowl Sunday. So she thought it would be fun to wear around, but she thought it would be a lot funnier for others to wear it to. Kaitlyn loved it. She kept trying to put it on herself after Kaylie was done playing with it. Chad was a good sport. Not only did he put it on for Kaylie he let me take his picture (and now he is on our blog). We had fun watching the game. The boys weren't interested in watching the game but the girls were right there next to Chad and I. We enjoyed the football game and ate a lot of junk food!
