1st Day of School

My boys started school last Thursday. Chris is in the 6th grade this year and Cade is in the 3rd grade. They both enjoyed their 1st day at school and now one week in they are still enjoying it. Hopefully this can last for a little while. It has started of smoothly. This summer they both slept in pretty late so I thought that getting up to go to school would be a challenge. So far it has gone well and Cade has been beating me up. Who would have thought. Homework is even getting done before I ask!

Kaylie started Kindergarten today! She can't be old enough to go to Kindergarten!! She has been so excited and I didn't think this day would get here fast enough for her. She loves school almost as much as dance. She was lucky and was able to get into her friend Austin class. Her teachers name is Mrs. Wright. She said her day was a lot of fun and she made a lot of new friends.

A Day at the Park

One of my kids favorite parks is the Discovery Park in Pleasant Grove. I think it is great because kids of all sizes can play at it. The boys love to play tag and hide and seek. Kaylie is now old enough to join them and Kaitlyn just loved everything!

Last week we went to the park with Heather and her two adorable kids. It was a ton of fun!! Kaylie loved having Kate and Austin to play with. I think they could have played forever.

Swimming at Outdoor Pool

We went to the Lehi Outdoor Pool a couple of weeks ago. We went with Chads family and it was a lot of fun and a perfect day to go. There wasn't alot of people there so it made the slide a little more fun with no line. Chris Cade and Kaylie loved going on the slide. I can't believe Kaylie is big enough to go with the boys all by herself. Kaitlyn loved the water. She has no fear which scares me to death. Kaylie got Grandma to go on the slide with her and not only one time either!!!! It was a great afternnoon!!

You have to love summer :)

Happy 11th Birthday Chris

So I am a little behind on my blogging again. Chris's birthday was on July 22. I can't believe he is 11. Where has time gone. Chad, Chris and Colby went and watched Transformers 2 on his birthday (Cade was sick so he couldn't go). Then we had a family birthday party that night which seemed to go well and he had a great time. He also had a party with his friends last week. He had a late night where they hung out, played games and ate pizza and treats. I didn't realize how much 11 year old boys like to wrestle and beat each other up. I took him birthday shopping with the money he got from his birthday and he got some pretty fun stuff. Chris enjoyed all he did and it was great making the day all about him.

A few things about Chris.....
  • He is going to be in 6th grade

  • Loves to draw

  • loves playing video games

  • enjoys playing soccer and basketball

  • likes hanging out with his friends

  • he is silly, silly, silly

  • loves summer (he is not ready for school to start)

  • likes to go swimming and hiking

  • his favorite books right now: Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Mac and Cheese

A few weeks ago Kaitlyn was enjoying mac and cheese for lunch. It is one of her favorite things to eat. When she started she had a bib on and was clean:) She had a thing she did for a little while where she would eat her food the when she was done the bowl would always end up on her head. This was the last time she did it but I think she decided to see how much fun it would be to play with what was left first. She was sitting so casual with this bowl on her head like it was suppose to be there or something that I couldn't resist taking a couple of pics. Kaitlyn has a great personality. She is always happy and loves being silly. She keeps a smile on my face :)
