A Crazy, Busy, and Fun Week Part 2

The week continued. So Friday was a more laid back day!! I went to the school to watch the Kindergarten Halloween parade. I had never went before so I thought I would see what it was all about. The kids were all cute in there costumes and Kaylie was glad to see me there. It is really short, sweet and to the point which is okay with me. I then decided I would go to Payless. I saw online that Oprah was doing a thing where everything was 50% off. Not thinking about it I went over and was surprised by how many people were there. I was in the store for an hour and a half. I know I must be crazy but I did get a lot of shoes for a good price. I had Kaitlyn with me and she did sooooo good. She didn't say she was ready to go until we were the next person in line so I couldn't complain. I was ready to go before then. I had a soccer game that night. Chad went with me which was nice he hasn't been to a game in about a year. We won but I wasn't able to kick well do to hurting my hip a few weeks back and it doesn't want to get better.

Next is Halloween!!!! The kids were so excited for Halloween. This year Kaitlyn was big enough to walk around and go up to the doors with the other kids. She figured out what to do pretty quick. You knock, open your bag, get the candy, put it into the bag off to the next house for more. She was such a big girl. The older kids ran ahead and hit every house they could and they stayed out awhile after I had gone home. They came back with their bags completely full. I would have to say that is the most candy my kids have ever gotten. I guess that is what happens when they get older and they can out last mom. Chad's family came over and did a little trick or treating with us. After trick or treating we had pizza and the kids played games and went through their candy. We had a great time!!!

Cute!!

Sunday night we had the family birthday party for Cade and Kaylie. Chads family came over and the kids opened presents and had cake and ice cream. They both wanted to know if they could have their own cakes this year. With their birthdays only being a day apart they don't really get their own thing so I decided I would make two cakes this year. I am not really good at the whole cake making thing but it is still fun to try. Chad helped me out some this year since I had two of them to make. The kids really liked them which made me happy. They got lots of fun gifts. Kaylie got a bike from dad and mom for her birthday and Cade will get his gift from dad and mom on Wednesday.

A Crazy, Busy, and Fun Week Part 1

This past week was a very busy week but I would have to say it was a lot of fun. We started the week off with Kaylie having a Halloween party at dance and carving pumpkins on Monday. It was the only night this week that we would have to do them. They didn't look so good for Halloween but it was fun doing it. Kaylie did a Tinkerbell, Cade did Sonic the Hedgehog and Chris did a wolf. Kaitlyn she just enjoyed them all. The kids do most of the work. They clean them out, put the pattern onto the pumpkin and get it all marked for dad. They help do some of the cutting out but Chad usually finishes them.

Busy at work...

Chris's pumpkin--Wolf
Tuesday night this week we had a couple less activities. Cade didn't have TKD which I would have to say I was happy for that. Chris had scouts and I had young women. I taught kickboxing to the young women that night which was a lot of fun for me.

Wednesday I spent most of the day getting ready for Kaylies birthday party that was on Thursday. Getting the decor, treats and games together. Kaylie went to a birthday party and she had a blast. That was the only activity that day which was good with the party to follow.

Thursday is party day!!! Kaylie has been wanting a Halloween party for her birthday so I did one this year. She invited a few friends over and they all wore their costumes. They played some Halloween games, opened presents and had a treat. Their favorite games were the mummy wrap and a zombie game. The mummy wrap game was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed wrapping two girls up like mummies and then enjoyed a toliet paper fight. I think they could have played the zombie game the whole party. They were laughing so hard it was so cute. Chris stayed and helped me which was nice. He was a great helper! Cade went to Cornbelly's with the scouts while the party was going on. He said he had a good time! Kaitlyn actually went down for a late nap which was helpful. She slept until the very end of the party.

Dance Class

Kaylie had her ballet class on Monday and they were able to wear their costumes to class. I thought she looked so cute in it I had to post a picture! I forgot to take my camera to take a picture of her class though :(

TKD Testing

Cade went to testing last week to earn a new belt. It was the first time that he has been to the testing. He has been just moving up in class but I guess when you get to a certain rank you have to go to testing. It was pretty good. He did a great job! He went through his combos and his form excellent. He didn't have TKD this week due to the Haunted House being set up for the Halloween party so he will find out how he did on the test next week. Good luck Cade!!

End of the Soccer Season

Chris playing goalie

Chris is number 11

Chris has been playing soccer this fall. It went really well for his team they won all but one game which they tied. The group of boys on his team played really well together and it was a lot of fun to watch. He will play with the same team again in the spring which will be nice for them to be able to play for two seasons together. His coach did a great job! Chris wasn't able to make it to all the practices because he has scouts at the same time so we decided to split it up. I was the assistant coach for his team this season, which was fun to do. Chris did a great job. He was able to get a chance at playing all the positions. He really enjoyed playing goalie and mid. I think for the first time the season got over before he was ready for it to.

Yummy....

So Kaitlyn said to me today "treat mommy" and she goes and gets a spoon. When she gets a spoon for a treat it usually means applesauce or pudding. So she wanted chocolate pudding today. I had to go get Kaylie from school soon so I said ok but I put a bib and a towel on her thinking that this would help keep her clean. I did the dishes while she ate it she was doing good at first and then I don't know what happened but she must have decided that she didn't want to eat it anymore. She usually does pretty good only dropping some off of her spoon here and there but not this time. This is what happened today....

Catching Up

Since school has started I have found it hard to get time to blog. There are so many things that have gone on.
One thing that I didn't get a chance to put on was one of our last activities we did before school started and that was go to the Highland fountains. We went with friends for the afternoon and the kids had a blast. There were a lot of people there but everything went great!

Kaylie has been playing soccer for the last couple of months. This was her first year playing. She loved it and she did great. She has decided she loves it as much as dance! She had great coaches. Her last game was last week and unfortuately she was starting to get sick that day so she wasn't able to play much (her mom wouldn't let her). She was able to join in the fun of the last game and get her medal. She did get sicker as the week went on. I had taken to the doctor Tuesday the strep test said negative but when we went back on Friday it was positive. She missed a week of school which I think may have been harder on her then the strep and she was pretty sick. And by Friday she had shared it with Chris and by Monday she shared it with me. I am hoping it will stop there.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great weekend! We didn't have any real big plans, which is what made it nice. We just wanted to do stuff together. We went to the Cascade Springs and Sundance on Sunday. It was a really nice drive. The kids enjoyed going for hikes and Kaitlyn was able to go hiking with them. She enjoyed running downhill and screaming. For some reason she found that to be really funny. After she would do it she would stop and laugh then go again. She has no fear. She would fall down and get right back up and go again. Monday we decided to get ice cream and go back up the canyon. This time we went to Granite Flatts and went hiking again. The kids love to go to the canyon. They love to hike and throw rocks into the river. Other then that we just hung out doing a bunch of misc things. It was a very nice weekend!

1st Day of School

My boys started school last Thursday. Chris is in the 6th grade this year and Cade is in the 3rd grade. They both enjoyed their 1st day at school and now one week in they are still enjoying it. Hopefully this can last for a little while. It has started of smoothly. This summer they both slept in pretty late so I thought that getting up to go to school would be a challenge. So far it has gone well and Cade has been beating me up. Who would have thought. Homework is even getting done before I ask!

Kaylie started Kindergarten today! She can't be old enough to go to Kindergarten!! She has been so excited and I didn't think this day would get here fast enough for her. She loves school almost as much as dance. She was lucky and was able to get into her friend Austin class. Her teachers name is Mrs. Wright. She said her day was a lot of fun and she made a lot of new friends.
